XHeader & XHeaderPro do not have the facility to change the background colour directly. However you can create a new background: Create a box that fills the headers area. Change the box colour to what you are wanting. And then move the box to the back most level. Add all you other header content on top. You can do this with an imported image too if you want to create a graphical background.
