A mobile site is one which has been designed specifically for viewing on a mobile web, or WAP browser.  There are a number of key differences between a mobile site and a 'regular' site, but it's sufficient to say that a mobile site viewed on a regular browser (or vice versa) is usually a very poor browsing experience indeed. Because of this, creating a mobile friendly version of your web-site can be an important step in accessing the millions of mobile web users out there.
